Thanks for taking the time to visit my Local Giving page.
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Wales are a National Voluntary Youth Work Charity working with young people across Wales. They will be celebrating their 90th birthday later this year.
As a historian, the history of the Boys and Girls Clubs has always fascinated me.
To celebrate the history, my personal challenge will be to walk from Treharris Boys and Girls Club, which opened in the early 1920's, to Cardiff Docks, following roughly the same journey the coal from Ocean Coal Company would have made to Cardiff during the 19th and 20th centuries.
The trail will be around 20 MILES and will take a whole day to complete.
The money raised will go towards cultural and heritage projects/workshops providing opportunities for young people to be informally educated.
Please help me reach my fundraising target.
Thank-you.

Diolch am gymryd yr amser i ymweld â'n nhudalen.
Mae Clybiau Bechgyn a Merched Cymru yn Sefydliad Gwaith Ieuenctid Gwirfoddol Cenedlaethol sy'n gweithio gyda phobl ifanc ledled Cymru ac mi fyddant yn dathlu eu pen-blwydd yn 90 oed eleni.
Fel hanesydd, mae diddordeb mawr gennai yn hanes y sefydliad. Felly i ddathlu'r hanes, fy her bersonol fydd cerdded o Glwb Bechgyn a Merched Treharris, a agorodd ar ddechrau'r 1920au, i Ddociau Caerdydd, sef dilyn yr un siwrnai y byddai'r glo o Gwmni Ocean Coal wedi ei wneud i Gaerdydd yn ystod y 19eg ganrif a 20fed ganrif.
Bydd y llwybr oddeutu 20 MILLTIR a bydd yn cymryd diwrnod cyfan i'w gwblhau.
Bydd yr arian a godir yn mynd tuag at brosiectau / gweithdai diwylliannol a threftadaeth sy'n rhoi cyfleoedd i bobl ifanc gael eu haddysgu'n anffurfiol.
Plîs helpwch fi i gyrraedd fy ngharged.
Diolch.
