Hello and thank you for visiting my page and supporting me in this unbelievable challenge I am setting myself for my big 70th birthday! I can hardly believe that I have signed up to do my first ever parachute jump but I wanted to mark my 70th birthday in a very special way and raise money for my favourite charity, the Wessex MS Therapy Centre.
As you will probably already know I have multiple sclerosis, and I use our local MS Therapy Centre in Warminster to keep me going. It is a fantastic little charity and offers regular therapies for anyone with MS in the area. I have weekly oxygen and physiotherapy and this keeps me upright and mobile and I am delighted to be part of this kind and caring community.
I have to add I am going to pay for the skydive out of my own pocket so every penny raised on here will go directly to the charity.
Also, from today, for one week the government will match fund every penny I raise up to £75 per sponsor! So if you want to sponsor me £20 the government will give me another £20 and the charity will get £40 from your donation. And, unbelievably, from the 3rd Nov the government will match fund up to £5,000 per donation! So if you really want to sponsor me £200 the government will give me another £200 and the charity gets £400!
Thanks again everyone and wish me luck...Paula xxx
