Team Fundraisers

The group will visit Rufford Abbey, Country Park and Craft Centre for five full day sessions over the Summer to pursue a variety of activities that will expand theirs skills and knowledge. They will create pottery and have Raku fire the pieces under the guidance of an experienced ceramic artist, create their own drawing charcoal, land art from natural materials, charcoal drawings and watercolours. They will also visit the Earth and Fire Ceramics Fair and meet many other artists.

Why they need our service

Many of the members would not have the opportunity to visit arts venues in the County without the support of funders. It is an opportunity to engage in activities at a national centre for ceramics fully supported by Nottinghamshire County Council. The ceramics created will be exhibited later this year and the community will be invited to discuss the artworks and project with the members and will benefit both members and community.

Plan and expected results

All the members will gain new knowledge, learn new skills and create new artworks, which will help them gain confidence and self-esteem. They will have broadened their horizons by visiting a new venue, exploring new opportunities and meeting new people.
