Brighton Half Marathon 2022

Hi Everyone,

In Feb 2022 I will be running the Brighton Half Marathon and fundraising for Survivor’s Network. Survivors Network support anyone who has experienced sexual violence at any point in their life. They offer a helpline, group work, counselling and an independent advocacy service. In addition to this, they also aim to reduce sexual violence and deliver training to a wide range of organisations.

Some of you may know that I have spent almost 3 years campaigning for improved sexual safety measures with @sussexunderthesheets. Survivor’s Network have been incredible advocates for our work, here are just some of the ways they have supported our work at Under The Sheets. 

- Provided a wealth of resources I.e. leaflets/ information/ training resources.
- Attended and participated in our Sexual Safety Working Group with the university and student’s union, to push for implementation of better sexual safety measures. 
- Co-hosted events with us.
- Joined us at Freshers fair, and offered guidance at @sussexsu ‘s Free Wednesdays. 

They have supported us in making campus a safer place. Please donate whatever you can, but also no pressure to! I’m also really hoping to draw attention to the desperate need to eradicate rape culture, and create a safe space for survivors to be believed and supported.
