The Chiltern Music Therapy Christmas Party is back! As the time for festivities is fast approaching, why not arrange to celebrate your Christmas party and support Chiltern Music Therapy! The Christmas Party takes place at Berkhamsted Town Hall on Friday 6th December and promises a scrumptious three-course dinner and more live music and dancing until you drop! All proceeds go to supporting Music Therapy services to people of all ages in the Chilterns.
Why they need our serviceAs the only community Music Therapy service in the area, this is our main fundraising event of the year and all proceeds go to providing services to people of all ages with Learning Disabilities, including Autism and Asperger's, Brain injury, Dementia, Mental-health and emotional difficulties, stroke & Parkinson's disease sufferers and those with life-threatening illnesses. We also provide music-making opportunities for anyone who is unable to access mainstream services.
Plan and expected resultsOur proceeds from this year event will go towards paying for Music Therapy sessions not only for individuals who would benefit from Music Therapy but also towards setting up Music Therapy work at the Chilterns MS centre - where we will be providing the UK's first community based Neurologic Music Therapy and Multiple Sclerosis service. It will also go towards the UK's first ever pilot project for evidence-based Music Therapy work with premature infants in neonatal units.
