Given I'm a lazy so and so and always nursing some kind of injury, the very idea of me running a half marathon is probably something you're struggling to get your head around.. but I am! And for a cause that does amazing work for the local community in Bath.

Bath City Farm is a community farm set on 37-acres in Twerton, Bath. They exist to support and empower disadvantaged members of our community by providing skill based courses, volunteering and workshops. It costs £850 a day to run the farm and last year the farm ran at a deficit. Fundraising is a vital stream of income, as they do not receive any funding from the Government. By sponsoring one of their runners, you are helping keep the farm open and accessible for all.

The farm’s neighbourhood is within the 20% of most deprived areas in England. It also has the highest proportion of children living in poverty in the county. They deliver 10 different farm-based projects under two programmes, Roots to Health - which supports adults with complex health and social needs and Branching Out - to improve the lives for children and young people facing adversity. They benefit the wider community by providing a visitor and education centre in horticulture, nature and farming.

Anything you can do to help support this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Chris
