I am undertaking a firewalk at Notts County Football ground on Thursday 14th April 2016. I will be walking on six metres of hot coals burning at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit!
I am doing this not just to speedily exfoliate my feet but to raise money for Imara - a Nottingham based Community Interest Company (CIC) set up in 2010 by Tamsin Baldwin and Cath Wakeman to offer early intervention support to children, teenagers and families after a disclosure of child abuse.
For more info see: http://www.imara.org.uk/
As a Community Interest Company (CIC) Imara are a not for profit organisation with charitable aims solely reliant on grants and donations.
Imara are not a big charity and the work they do is vital to support children and young people through difficult and challenging circumstances at a time when there is little or no support from statutory bodies. I know they are in desperate need of funding right now and I ask that you chip in to help out.
You can come and watch us walk through fire from about 7.30pm on Thursday please do ask me for more details apparently there will be a bar and food so we could make a night of it!
