Empowering children and families to recover from the impacts of sexual and domestic abuse
Imara is a local children's charity based in Nottingham and we have supported children, young people and families affected by child sexual abuse and domestic abuse since 2010.
All of our services are free to access and we offer a range of specialist support including creative therapies like art, dance and movement and music. We also provide a CHISVA service, supporting children and young people through the criminal justice process.
We are proud of our child-centred and trauma-informed approach, which has helped 2,200 children and young people, and more than 1,500 families on their journey to healing and recovery.
As a small local charity, we know as much as anyone that times are difficult and many of the services we provide to children and families are entirely unfunded.
We have created the Imara Impact Fund with the aim of raising at least £250,000 of unrestricted income to plug this funding gap, so we can keep delivering these essential services to children and families.
We are asking for your help to donate to and support the Imara Impact Fund, and by doing so, you’ll help us to continue to deliver these services that are truly valued by all children, teenagers and families affected by abuse in Nottinghamshire.
Please make a donation if you can through our Localgiving page. We appreciate one-off donations, but monthly donations give us more stability and allow us to plan for the future.
Thank you from the Imara team . :)
