Mother of three, Christina Wembridge, is shaving her head to raise money and awareness for two charities that have a special place in her heart.
Christina, who also has five grandchildren, will be shaving her head on September 29th for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Recovery Cymru.
We will be using the money Christina raises for us to continue to support people throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan who are struggling with drug and alcohol problems.
Here at Recovery Cymru, we are passionate about developing and strengthening communities of people recovering from drug and alcohol problems.
Fundraising and donations are a very important source of revenue in sustaining activities which prove so vitally important empower people to change their lives and contribute to the community.
Christina says: “I am a woman of a certain age, I’m single and I love my hair. But I’m prepared to sacrifice it for cystic fibrosis (for my son) and for Recovery Cymru because without them I’d be dead!”
Gareth Joseph, from Recovery Cymru, says: “We are so proud of Christina, shaving her head is such a brave thing to do. It’s going to be an emotional day for everyone involved!“
