Circus of Acceptance Northumberland Pride

Northumberland Pride is a dynamic voluntary organisation set up to raise awareness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT+) culture and heritage. They do this in safe spaces to break down barriers, promote inclusion and support across the County of Northumberland. Their vision is to celebrate LGBT+ life with our allies, across Northumberland through events and project work. The inaugural Northumberland Pride will take place on the 2nd June 2018 at Alnwick Rugby Club. The day will feature a main stage with music, community focused stalls providing information from local organisations and the LGBT+ services they offer. There will also be a Health & Well-Being Zone, and Children, Young People & Family Zone. As 2018 is the Year of the Circus we want to bring the circus to the family zone!! The theme is to portray the message that everyone is welcome. It's a celebration of all the different types of LGBT+ people, and even those who don't fall under LGBT+, each with their own individual quirks, skills, differences and fascinations! Whether it is working with first timers or with serious enthusiasts, our mission is the same; to harness active, meaningful engagement and enjoyable end-results. Our aim to provide a range of fun-filled inclusive activities for children and young people of any age or of any ability.
