On April the 25th i am going to support my local Homeless charity www.streets2homes.org by sleeping rough in whatever the weather throws at me, any one feeling brave / crazy can join me (in their OWN sleeping bags or carboard box's. That includes you Holly willoughby)
Or i could loan you one? see term and conitions lol
Streets2Homes is a charity based in Harlow, Essex and we manage a day centre which seeks to reach out to and help homeless people.
We provide a safe and friendly environment in which we can assist them in a number of ways, including finding accommodation. The demand for housing in this area always outstrips availability so it can take time to find suitable accommodation, we are always looking for good landlords to work with us.
The day centre provides a place to access housing advice, social contact, training sessions, employment advice, health services, washing facilities, food, clothing, general guidance and support.
We cannot do all the work ourselves but we have links with a wide range of agencies and organisations that we can contact to try to get the appropriate type of assistance to meet the needs of our clients.
who help a range of people in lots of different ways, as well as housing people that cant find any where to live other then there mates sofa or much worse! due to unforeseen circumstances.
I think every one should help... How bad would your lives be if i were on your sofa..
On a serious note if you cant give money and not all can, but a donation of clothes or even some thing your were thinking of Ebaying i would happily take as i hope to do a boot sale as well to raise some money.
I am not a fan of huge charities due to the amount they waste on large rental offices in London and over paid directors and executives. This charity is run by 3 part time people and some lovely volunteers.
