A new Sound System is required to make the Minster space accessible to all levels of hearing, and make the Minster a useable space for all groups.
Why they need our serviceHalifax Minster is a large space that needs a public address system to help those whose hearing is poor, and to assist those speaking at events to make clear announcements. The current sound system is over 20 years old; the wiring has perished in difficult to reach places; announcements are broken by crackling or silence; and clip-on microphones are falling to pieces. Many people are unable to project their voices so a new system is the only solution.
Plan and expected resultsA voice for all - whether it is a service, a Minster Debate, a concert, a meeting, a school visit, a guided tour - a new sound system benefits everyone. No matter where you sit or stand in the Minster, you will be able to hear all dialogue. Even nervous people, or the quiet person, will be heard too. All will have the confidence to speak clearly and be heard.
