Mobex staff offer participants positive encouragement in everything they do and this helps to instill a feeling of self worth, which, in our experience, is lacking in many offenders. By reviewing the activities and associated experiences, Mobex enables offenders to relate their feelings and learning back into their everyday real life situations.

Mobex North East's Constructive Activities Partnership uses outdoor activities as personal development tools to help increase self-esteem as well as offenders' interpersonal and social skills. The basic ground rules of Mobex complement those of the service. During activities staff often find themselves addressing issues such as sexism, racism, and other pertinent matters.

Mobex offers offenders the opportunity to make constructive use of their time, learning new skills with the objective of developing skills and confidence, enhancing employability, reducing re offending and assisting in the management of substantial and serious risk factors.
