Hi
I’m running the Watford Half Marathon on the 5 February 2017 to raise money for Watford Palace Theatre to help fund its 2017 Pantomime Access Performances.
The Access Performances include a Captioned performance, Audio Described performance and a Touch Tour.
A Captioned performance is when the words appear on a screen at the same time as they are performed on stage which provides people with hearing loss access to live performances.
An Audio Described performance is a verbal commentary that tells visually impaired audiences what is happening on the stage during the performance.
A Touch Tour is an opportunity for blind and partially sighted audience members to be guided on stage before the production to explore the set and to handle selected props, costumes and furniture so they can understand context in the performance.
The total cost of these opportunities is £2,500.
As a registered charity all the income Watford Palace Theatre generates goes back into offering affordable opportunities for as many people as possible to experience the life changing power of the arts and theatre. Running the Watford Half Marathon is my way to help more people experience Watford Palace Theatre’s much loved Pantomime this December.
Thanks for your support.
Dan
