One of the great privileges of serving as the minister of Holy Trinity Weston is working with the amazing team of people who run Weston Church Youth Project (WCYP).
Weston Church Youth Project exists to enable, equip and encourage the young people of Weston to live life to the full and contribute to their community. Our activities provide young people with fun safe places to spend their time, gain new skills, broaden their horizons, get support, advice and encouragement and to explore the Christian faith.
In May I and six others are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge. This involves climbing the three highest peaks in the UK - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Mount Snowdon in Wales - in the space of 24 hours!
The money we raise will be split 50/50 between our Achieve and Faith Programmes.
Our Achieve programme covers our school based work: encouraging attendance, addressing behavioural issues, and providing family support so that children can fully engage in their educational opportunities.
Our Faith programme enables interested young people to explore the Christian faith and to grow in their knowledge and experience of God.
