Having never really felt I have made a difference to help or improve anyone's life so far (apart from family and friends hopefully) I thought now would be a good time to start. As I am 60 in July and aware of the passing of time I decided to have a party to celebrate how precious family and friends are. I feel very fortunate to have people like this in my life and also am very aware that I have had the advantage of things like education and a roof over my head (so far that is). As I feel I have everything I need in life I would like anyone who wanted to buy me a gift to donate to the Daylight Centre instead. This is because it is local to me and they do great work to help people who have not had the advantages that I have had or who have suffered in some way or another. I have a particular empathy for anyone who does not have a home and I know the centre do an awesome job trying to relieve this issue. So thanks very much to everyone who does donate and I really hope it does make at least a small difference to someone.
