Why they need our service

We are based in a deprived area and help vulnerable people on low incomes. Key problems faced by people in problem debt are a lack of financial education, knowledge of their rights and the options available. Without this knowledge debt causes stress and affects people's ability to provide for themselves. They can face court action, bailiffs, be disconnected from electricity or gas, or even lose their home. Debt advice is a lifeline that is needed now more than ever.

Plan and expected results

Debt advice acts as a lifeline to individuals and families in financial crisis, helping them avoid home re-posession and bailiff action. It also helps people find long term solutions to financial difficulty and move forward with a fresh start. Our feedback forms show that debt advice helps relieve stress and anxiety and improve family relationships. This means that it improves not only financial circumstances but also the overall health and wellbeing of vulnerable people.
