Our leadership team, (Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace Development and Experimental Engineering), are undertaking a long distance bike ride over the weekend of 29th June-1st July from Derby to the Welsh coast at Porthmadog. The route is over 190 miles and will be undertaken over 2 full days with an overnight stop.
Stop press: ride completed successfully all riders! 188 miles - awesome!
The bike ride is to raise money for charity. Our chosen cause this year is to support mental health and wellbeing and, in particular, our chosen charity is "Bank House" (South Derbyshire Mental Health Association) in Swadlincote, Derbyshire. Bank House provides an invaluable drop in centre/service for adults with mental heath, addiction, homelessness and many other similar issues.
Bank House aims to provide a caring, safe, supportive, friendly and non-judgemental environment for those who are referred and those with a self-perceived need of support around their mental health issues. Bank House works to enable people to regain their health, improve their well-being and to live a full and fulfilling life.
We believe this is great charity to support! Bank House relies solely on charitable donations and lottery funding. Please sponsor our bike ride by donating through this page or direct through one of the team.
Thank You! Neill Forrest on behalf of the DEE slow riders!
