Climbing Ben Nevis

On Summer Solstice in memory of my Brother Leon I will be climbing Ben Nevis in order to raise funds for  the incredible Charity IMARA.

Imara aims to empower and promote the recovery of children, young people and their families affected by child sexual abuse, by offering early intervention in the form of: 

Access to pre-trial therapySpecialist risk and needs assessment, and referral to appropriate support and servicesInformation, advice and consistent contact throughout the judicial processSupport with education, health, housing and financial concern

My brother was a survivor of CSA and was never lucky enough to be able to access services such as this. The impact of his experiences caused trauma throughout his life & affected so many other  lives amongst our family & friends. 
He’s no longer here, but I like to think he would be trekking up ‘the mountain with its head in the clouds’ with me to raise fundsfor  this much needed service. 
 it’s crucial that there can be support for all in these tragic & hideous circumstances, helping to rebuild the lives of children after such devastating trauma Is the work Imara does &  is invaluable.
