CAMPHILL CLANABOGAN
“We are a living and working community where people with and without learning disabilities may reach their full potential in the spirit of lifelong learning. We want to see a world where each person is appreciated and accepted for their unique abilities.”
Current situation
- 70 community members with all kinds of abilities share 8 cars
- Our carpooling allows us to reduce the number of cars and individual miles driven
- We heat the majority of our homes with a carbon-neutral biomass district heating system. Our transportation needs have the greatest impact on our carbon footprint.
Goal
- Introduction of electric mobility to our carpooling fleet. Replace 1 of our old diesel cars with an electric car
- At Camphill Community Clanabogan we are committed to reducing the carbon emissions of our mobility needs. We are committed to investing in environmentally friendly technology when the cars in our fleet need to be replaced.
Your donation will help us stay connected while reducing our environmental footprint on the planet. We are located in the rural countryside of county Tyrone, Northern Ireland. If we want to stay connected to the wider community, we rely on shared cars which at the moment are the main cause of our carbon emissions.
