Eaton Square School Charity Week Fundraiser

We invite you to take part in the 2.6 Challenge during our charity week, from 4th-10th May, to help fundraise for our fantastic School charity, Chiltern Music Therapy.

A message from the Chiltern Music Therapy Team:
"The pupils, parents and teachers of Eaton Square School have shown Chiltern Music Therapy wonderful support throughout the last two years. The impact that this has had on what we are able to deliver has been exceptional.
Sadly, due to the current lockdown, the majority of our patients have had to go without the music therapy they normally rely on and look forward to. Our patients are the most vulnerable and isolated people in our communities and  music plays a significant role in making them feel a little less alone. In fact, music has often been their lifeline. Music enables the isolated elderly to hang on to their memories for longer and it helps children with brain trauma to take small steps and turn them into giant leaps. Finally, music increases oxygen saturation levels in an infant's severely underdeveloped lungs.  As a result of the isolation measures in place, our team of therapists have been working tirelessly to create inclusive and accessible online content that will help patients and others during this crisis. We have secured various donations of second-hand iPads and funds to purchase new iPads which we are uploading with specialist apps and are sending to our patients who need it the most. These iPads mean that we can provide online sessions for the most vulnerable members of our community. For those who are unable to use or access an iPad, our team are providing weekly check-ins with their patients to ensure they are supported during this difficult time. We all realise now what it is like to be isolated and we need the help of Eaton Square School, now more than ever, to help give our patients their lifeline back.
