Hi All..
I will be climbing the Yorkshire 3 peaks on Saturday 26th September 2020 i am trying to raise as much money for Families in need in the East Lancashire Area.
I feel fully recovered after my broken leg in December 2019 and would like to challenge myself with Yorkshire 3 peaks... due to covid 19 restrictions i have had to change this so this challenge will take me much longer.
i was going to do Ben Nevis i have now booked Ben Nevis for April
I go walking every day to build my strength up.
I want to support Home-Start in East Lancashire. They are a great local charity who support families who are struggling for whatever reason. Issues range from post-natal depression to poverty and isolation to domestic violence.
Volunteers are parents themselves so they know that it can be tough and they don't judge. We visit the family in their own home and provide individual support to them. This ranges from simply being there to listen to providing practical assistance to help the family achieve the changes that they want to bring about.
The Covid-19 outbreak has placed further strain on families and we are working to stay connected with them remotely and helping them to get vital food, baby goods and other supplies delivered to them during the outbreak as well as providing activity packs for the children.
