Hi all,
Tour de Rutland here we come...We're doing a sponsored cycle for the Emerald Centre in Leicester on Saturday 4th July 2015. The three of us (myself, Stu and Tom) are completing 23 mile circuit around the peninsula of Rutland Water in England's smallest county, Rutland.http://www.rutlandwater.org.uk/ .
All proceeds will go to the Emerald Centre in Leicester. The Emerald Centre is a fabulous charity. It provides a vibrant and much needed venue for the Irish community to meet in Leicester and the surrounding area. The fantastic staff team organise music sessions, lunch clubs outings and a vast array of other activities for members. The Centre has been really supportive of our oral history work with Irish elders (with Rionach Casey). A truly inclusive organisation supported by amazing staff which really does deserve a financial boost. http://www.emeraldcentre.org.uk/
We're fundraising to help buy a much needed mini bus help the Emerald Centre continue its vital work. Our overall target is £1,000. Every penny will help - small really can be beautiful...
