Each exhibition will have a specific theme or focus and will aim to be led by real historic objects, photographs or works of original art. This will enable us to showcase more of our collections, to tell more stories and will offer regular visitors something different to see each time they come.

At Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, we have a vast collection spanning the maritime, aviation, military and social history of the town and the surrounding area. It is impossible to continually display all of these items, for reasons of space, but also to ensure that certain items are kept appropriately. Our programme of changing Special Exhibitions will mean that we can change exhibits, enabling more objects to be displayed and to tell more stories about the fascinating heritage of the town.

The Heritage Centre attracts over 8,000 visitors each year and most people visit because of the strength of our displays and exhibits. With this funding we will be able to continue to display two or three Special Exhibitions each year to better engage our visitors with our marvellous history.
