My youngest daughter Ffion is hoping to walk the equivalent of a marathon by the time she is 13 on the 30th July. She had her kidney transplant in 2021 and in 2022 had double knee surgery. For a period of time she was unable to walk and was in a wheelchair for a while. Being a determined young lady, she got through this and has gone from strength to strength. More recently on holiday walking up to the top of Mount Vesuvius. As she likes a challenge, she has set herself a goal of walking 42.195 kilometres (a marathon distance) by her 13th birthday at the end of next month to raise funds for the refurbishment of the Childrens Kidney Centre.
