In March I will be running the Bath Half and helping to organise the Bristol medical school comedy revue in order to raise money for the amazing mental health charity Off the Record (OTR), which provides support to young people aged 11-25 in the south west.
Mental health services are incredibly under-resourced in the NHS, with long waiting lists for pyschological treatments. This can leave many people without support and struggling with education, work and relationships. Many pyschiatric conditions are likely to first develop during young adulthood and timely mental health support is imperative at this vulnerable stage to promote life-long emotional well-being. OTR provide free and confidential information and therapuetic services to give people the tools they need to manage their own mental health.
I'm excited to be running the bath half for a 2nd time (hopefully faster!) and training through the winter months. I'll also be performing in the Bristol Clinical Revue on the 22nd of march, which will be at the Victoria Rooms and will be also raising money for OTR.
If this is something you are affected by or believe in please donate as little or as much as you can, I will be very grateful!!
