Hi.
I have been a victim of domestic abuse....that shocks some people, when I tell them, because I'm a confident person. Abuse, within a relationship, can happen to ANYONE, whether that be physical, mental, emotional or financial. Derby women's centre is close to my heart because they provide a service called The Freedom Programme. This programme is available to any woman, who has been a victim of abuse, and it's FREE. I am currently enrolled on the course and have benefitted greatly from the help they provide. The centre also provides many other services for women and mothers. The staff are fantastic. The services are so needed. You may not think that you, yourself, will ever need the services, but maybe your friend, sister, mother or other family member will one day. This service is FOR ALL WOMEN.
I will be doing a tandem skydive, from 13,000ft, in June, to raise money for this amazing service, that relies heavily on fundraising and donations.
