I've been volunteering at The Proud Trust for about 5 years. I sit on the Board of Trustees and am forever blown away by the life saving work this charity does.
The Proud Trust operates the LGBT+ Centre, which this year will celebrate it's 30th birthday. As part of the 30 years queer celebrations, I want to raise some extra funds.
On 23rd February I'm going to get my precious locks chopped off! I've had long hair my entire life. It has never ever ever been shorter than shoulder length. I love my hair and am so nervous about letting it go. Full disclosure, I'm not going for the full shave, the sides and back will be shaved down to a number one, but I'm leaving some little short curls on top of my head. My Mum is gutted that I'm chopping off my lovely hair, so I need to leave just a little bit there for her!
