Hi, my name is Peter and I was totally blown away at raising over £10,300 last year doing my first wing walk. This year as I approach my 83rd birthday I felt inspired to do more and found out that I can do an acrobatic wing walk where I will experience a barrel roll, stall turn, Cuban eight and loop the loop all whilst strapped to the top of a bi plane at RAF Rendcomb near Stroud.
Since getting to know Yeleni Therapy & Support Cancer Centre I have been blessed with continued good health and have done several fundraising activities for them, including walking the 300 mile Camino in Spain, growing my hair long, dying it rainbow colours and shaving it all off, accompanying Postman Mike on his treadmill marathon dressed as Peter Pan, and last year "standing still" on a wing walk to name a few. This is a great local charity who rely upon grants and fundraising events to continue to offer free therapies to anyone with any form of cancer, as well as providing 4 free sessions to their nominated carer. Since they opened Yeleni have worked with nearly a thousand cancer patients which is a massive achievement. They are averaging nearly 260 each year and it cost £650 for each cancer client so they have to raise over £169,000 each year. So in my own small daredevil way I want to help and I hope that you will consider sponsoring me. If you pay tax ,do gift aid your donation as they will get an extra 25%. Thank you for supporting this octogenarian and helping me to make a difference to those with cancer in our community.
