Merthyr Half Marathon & Ironman Wales Triathlon
So a few months ago, in a moment of madness, I signed up to do Merthyr Half Marathon on 29/03/2020. For those of you that know me well know I’m not a runner, but I wanted to set myself a real challenge to try and raise funds for a fantastic little charity that helps children and young people with Down’s Syndrome and their families.
Jamie (the lunatic) had to go one better, and signed up to do Ironman Wales, one of the toughest triathlons around. On 06/09/2020 he will be completing a 2.4 mile sea swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, topped off with a 26.2 mile marathon - all in one day! Crazy eh?!
Anyway, the reason we’ve decided to up our game is to hopefully raise funds for a charity that is so close to our hearts, 21 Plus. Since Tomos was 6 months old we have received so much support from 21 Plus. At times, we honestly wouldn’t know what we’d do without them. From dedicated weekly speech and language intervention, to school transition support, to advice, guidance and genuine friendships.
Your donations would mean the world to us, knowing that other children and families could benefit from the services that 21 Plus offer.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our page, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kind donations.
