We help & inspire local communities of everyday male volunteers, to self-organise & work with our troubled young men aged 18-25. We provide a transformative 13-week programme called the Quest for Community. It starts with a 3-day residential event, spent in nature, away from their habitual stimuli which reinforce old patterns. The weekend is followed by a 12-week mentoring programme that involves weekly 1-2-1 meetings with their mentor & group meetings. After that, we are there 4 them 4 life.
Why they need our serviceDangerous men often start as desperate young men. We work tirelessly and courageously with the traumatised, the wounded and the unwell to provide them with the challenge, support and encouragement to lead a life that is good for them - and good for others.
Plan and expected resultsOur programme works on 3 levels: 1. We challenge young men to understand and develop their personal narrative, looking specifically at the areas that are not working for them in their lives. 2. We provide a supportive, safe and connected space to allow new ways of being to develop. 3. We increase emotional literacy by encouraging the expression and processing of emotion. *80% of participants either haven't offended since The Quest or reported a much lower severity of offending behaviour.
