If you were thinking about buying Mum a present for her 60th birthday, we would like to suggest making a donation to Shekinah instead. This is a local charity that we know mum is keen to support.
Shekinah is a Devon-based charity that provides opportunities for people in recovery or seeking recovery. This may include recovery from homelessness, drug and alcohol issues, offending behaviours or mental ill health. They have a range of projects across a number of locations and they provide a safe space for people to develop their skills, regain their self-worth and go on to live independent and fulfilling lives.
