Thank you so much for clicking on this link!
We would really like to tell you about a young person named Alex.
Ever since his family broke down at aged 16, Alex has been living in supported accommodation. He is now 24 years old.
Young People First began supporting Alex* (Not his real name) over a year ago when he joined our Interdependence Project. He is a great young man and over the past year we have seen him grow in confidence and self-belief. He has learnt to budget, cook healthy meals, take care of himself and gain the confidence to look and apply for work.
Earlier this week we heard the amazing news that after 8 years living in supported housing, Alex has finally secured a place of his own. The only problem is he has nothing to fill it. He does not have a washing machine, fridge freezer or cooker. There is no bed, sofas or cupboards. For most of us moving into our first place this is the point where we ask mom and dad for help. Alex sadly can't do that.
We would like to ask you to help us turn Alex's house into a home! We would like to raise £750 which would allow him to buy, brand new, a double bed frame, an under-the-counter fridge freezer, a washing machine, a free standing cooker and a sofa.
We have set ourselves a goal to raise this amount within a week and we kindly ask your help to make this happen
Thank you
