Hi.
I am running the London Big Half Marathon to raise funds for the Charlotte & Craig Saving Hearts Foundation. This is a local charity (based in Redditch) established by a family in response to the most tragic of circumstances..
The Foundation was set up after their daughter Charlotte died suddenly In December 2010 of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. Then three years later their son Craig tragically passed away and in January 2018 their other son Carrick also passed away.
I struggle to comprehend how difficult that must have been to cope with.
The charity raises money for the purchase of defibrillators for schools and other public buildings. So far they have bought more than 170 which are now fitted in venues across the West Midlands.
Any donation, however small, would be most gratefully received and would contribute to this most deserving of causes.
