Why they need our serviceParticipation in competition at the highest amateur level increases participation, promotes the ambition to excel and provides progression and development for children and youngsters. It seeks to achieve this by providing matchplay at the next pyramid level - RFL Tier 3 Rugby League and Northern Counties East League. Present facilities are graded as poor and inadequate by the Council's Playing Field Strategy and Sport England Pitch assessment criteria. It has no floodlights at present
Plan and expected resultsThe pitch improvement will provide a first-class venue for spectator rugby league and football at the highest amateur level in the district. Floodlighting will provide the added value of extending usage to evening community use and floodlit matches. Our planning shows this will treble usage to senior training, junior development and provide a training venue for the town's professional rugby league club. Calderdale Community Coaching Trust will extend their coaching programmes on the site.
