My 9yr old son Jack and myself value our local pool so much and are so pleased the collective efforts of the neighbourhood have secured the future of our pool to date. The unexpected hurdle of £30K before Christmas to pay for energy bills to keep the pool going long enough to implement all the great plans for the pool's sustainable future is the last hurdle as we see it.
Before Christmas Jack and I plan to collectively swim a total of 1000 lengths (in 60 days) to raise awareness of the pool's plight, inspire others to fundraise themselves and raise funds to get us through to next year, when all the changes to a valuable community asset come into play.
