For the past few years I've wanted to abseil and tick it off my bucket list, so when I found out there was going to be one at pembroke castle I signed myself up for it. While doing this I've decided to raise money for a charity close to my families hearts, A.A.S.C
Asbestos Awareness and Support Cymru (AASC) is providing a Wales wide network of help and support to those living with asbestos related illnesses and their families.
Sadly in 2009 my father in law passed away from Mesothelioma. At the time not a lot of information about this illness was available or any help/support for the family. So in 2011 my sister in law Joanne barnes-mannings and friend lorca johns set up A.A.S.C. Over the past few years they've been able to give much needed support and information to people affected by asbestos related illness's. They are a non profitable organisation so depend upon support from individuals, groups and communities to ensure its longevity.
