Guess who is walking 12 1/2 miles on Sunday 22nd May 2022? Me Joan Larkin to raise funds for Heswall Disabled Children's Holiday Fund.
This year we are celebrating the 60th Anniversary of taking disabled children on a free holiday for a week. Seeing the children develop their confidence and independence through a brilliant summer is incredible.
To ensure there is no cost to the families we need to raise £30,000 each year. If you can sponsor me it would be really appreciated.
I have been involved with Heswall Disabled Children's Holiday Fund ever since my daughter went as a helper some 23 years ago. In recent years I have become a committee member and I take part in fundraising and help organise the week at camp. The charity is amazing in what they offer to disabled children and equally important is the respite we can give their parents/carers.
