...No, it's me - Helen, jumping out of a plane! While scanning twitter on my lunch I came across the following post: "Would you Jump 15,000ft for Jeremiahs Journey? Ever thought about attempting a world record?" I thought why not and as they say the rest is history. So on Saturday 21 June I will be doing a Skydive! Jumping from 15,000ft - The highest altitude in the world without needing extra oxygen! This jump is also part of a Guinness World Record Attempt; the most people in 24hours to take part in a Tandem Skydive. The current record was set in Germany with 251 people. Jeremiahs Journey provide support and information to children and their families who have experienced or are anticipating the death of someone special. They run group programmes for bereaved children and their parents/carers. The sessions use creative activities to enable children to: express their feelings of grief; share memories; and explore ways of coping. The aim is to encourage happy memories and resilience for the future. This charity is close to my heart having lost my dad when I was 16. Please see below how your donation will help: £5 - A teddy bear for a bereaved child £25 - A place on a trip at the end of the programme £225 - A place for a child on the therapeutic group programme You can find out more about Jeremiahs Journey cy clicking the following link - http://www.jeremiahsjourney.org.uk/ Thank you in advance for you support! Wish me luck Helen
