Our target is to raise more than £1,500 for Our Place Community Hub, by taking part in the Bupa Great Birmingham Run 2014, a half-marathon taking place on 19th October.
We are entering two teams, one all male and one all female, into the Business Challenge, which will feature runners of all ages and staff from across the business.
Our Place Community Hub is JW Hinks’ chosen charity for 2014. Based in Sutton Coldfield, it is a not for profit organisation that provides a facility to the local community offering a range of activities and services for children, young people and adults, some of which are delivered by the organisation, and some by partner agencies.
Part of The Our Place Schools Cluster, the Community Hub was opened in September 2011, after renovation work was completed on two derelict empty buildings on Farthing Lane. As a self-sustaining and not for profit organisation it relies completely on fundraising in order to continue to work to the benefit of children, young people and families, as well as the wider community in Sutton Coldfield.
