Four friends from across Wales, England and Germany started running less than two years ago, hopping across the Channel to race in the 2018 Bonn marathon to prove that middle-age was no barrier to ambition. Dissatisfied with the Brits coming out on top, this year Frank and Biggi are hopping back across the Channel to face brothers Graeme and Ross on their home turf - the Newport Wales Marathon on May 5th.
We want to raise money for people for whom life presents a struggle, and prefer to support local voluntary groups who can make such a difference with a small donation. We heard about the Sanctuary in Newport, a small project which for over ten years has done so much to help refugees and asylum seekers from across the globe settle in their community.
26 miles or 42k, either way it’s a very long run! Please help us support the work of the Sanctuary with whatever you can afford to donate.
