My dad was my hero and my rock. You cannot begin to imagine how devastated I was when we were told that the cancer he had battled successfully for years, was now terminal. Dad was just 65 years old. John Taylor Hospice cared for my wonderful dad during his last couple of days of life before he passed away two years ago. Upon entering The Hospice, the fear, anxiety and worry were just taken away, not only from my dad, but from us too. Dad was made extremely comfortable and felt safe from the minute he entered the building. Everything was explained to us in as much or as little detail as we required, nothing was too much trouble for either ourselves or, more importantly, for dad. With the help of John Taylor Hospice, my dad was able to pass away peacefully with my mom, me and my sisters at his side. There was no struggle, no pain and he just slipped away in a very quiet, peaceful and dignified manner. I cannot thank the Hospice enough for giving us such a positive experience at such a dreadful time in our lives. We have all gathered much comfort in knowing that dad was so well cared for and treated with so much dignity and respect in his final hours. I would be so grateful if you could support me in my efforts to raise much needed funds for such a fantastic organisation. After all, we never know when we ourselves may need to call upon these resources in the future. I cannot speak too highly of the quality of care that the Hospice provides. No amount of money can ever fully repay or thank them for what they did for my dad. The job they do is so worthwhile. Any amount that you can donate is so gratefully received and will make such a difference to other families who are sadly going through the same dreadful time as we did. Thanks very much in advance. Lots of love. Karen xxxx
