I've a fear of drowning which grew and festered since I was 6yrs old . I was pushed into the "deep" end of the pool and I couldn't swim . I've battled with this fear ever since and I've tried to overcome this fear few times but I haven't conquered it. So now is the time to do so , as I'm fed up dipping my toes whilst my family are having a splashing good time in the swimming pool ( deep end ) deep is anything above chest height .. Agggh!
I'm currently taking swimming lessons and whilst I look the part ( goggles, the rubber cap thingy that clamps on my head :-), I'm nothing of the sort.
Working for the Lloyds Group our "crew" will be fundraising all year for The Laurence Trust, a local family , impacted by the loss of a loved son , brother , friend via an eating disorder. Something we don't often associate with boys/men.
The trust raise awareness and support men living with eating disorders and their families .
I've set up this page as a tool for you to help me overcome my fear but also to raise funds for a worthwhile cause .
Thank you
Kelly
