This group is aimed at children aged 4-11 from multi-cultural backgrounds. The group meets every other Saturday and we organise trips out, such as swimming, cinema, theatre and outdoor activities and regular workshops.
Why they need our serviceMany of the children we work with are at risk of becoming involved in crime, poor health and unemployment. Additionally children from disadvantaged backgrounds face more challenges in the areas of confidence and education. By attending the groups the children will be further educated about the important lifestyle choices. Furthermore the children will have the opportunity to form friendships and develop their personal identity in a safe and secure environment.
Plan and expected resultsGiving young people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds a chance to engage in a positive extra-curricular activity means each person will develop invaluable skills for the future. Not only will they be more educated on a number of issues that may not be provided through school they will also be given the opportunity to build strong communities with their peers. Our planned day trips offer young people the chance to learn additional skills, find constructive hobbies and enjoy themselves.
