Rotherham's become our adopted home, and instead of a traditional gift registry, we would be very grateful if you supported Rothacs. Rotherham's had a rough time and we want to support a charity helping with recovery.
Dave says:
"I've been working for the Rotherham Advertiser newspaper for five years now and have covered almost every grooming gang trial to date. I have sat through hours of stomach-churning testimony from the women and girls Rothacs tries to help.
"I have read the reports about how their workload grows each year and how their resources are stretched ever thinner.
"And I have been at the right-wing marches which serve only to sow hate and cost the taxpayer millions, without actually helping the victims.
"This is a way to support those women and girls, boys and men (if their expansion plans go ahead) who have suffered so horribly.
"I appreciate that this isn't a charity local to most of you, but the suffering of sexual abuse must be the same wherever it is experienced.
"And as someone who has received counselling in the past, I can attest to how life-changing it can be."
