Rotherham Abuse Counselling Service supports survivors of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, and domestic violence, helping them rebuild their lives and move towards happier, healthier futures.
Our professionally trained counsellors work within the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), providing safe, confidential and compassionate therapeutic support to people living or working in Rotherham. We offer specialist counselling on both a one-to-one and group basis, including drop-in sessions, and pre-therapy courses.
Alongside counselling, we provide an Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy (ISVA) Service. Our ISVAs offer practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence, helping them understand their rights, access services, and navigate the criminal justice process if they choose to report. The service works to ensure survivors feel informed, empowered and supported throughout their journey.
We believe everyone has the right to live free from abuse and violence, and we are committed to creating an environment where survivors feel heard, supported and empowered to make choices that are right for them.
