Hi ladies, thanks so much for choosing to do this.
I'm excited! Friday 19th May 2023 promises to be a really lovely (hopefully sunny) day out with a fabulous bunch of ladies.
For those who like a walk, we will meet at 10am at The Leander Club in Henley-on-Thames for a quick cup of tea/coffee. We will set off at about 10.30, walking along the river, towards Hambledon, then looping up and over the hill and back down to Leander for 12/12.30pm. Well behaved dogs are welcome - I will not be bringing mine! If you don't fancy the walk or don't have time then, no problem, you can just meet us at the Leander Club at 12.30pm for a glass of fizz.
There is plenty of parking opposite the Club. Just buzz and say you are there for the ladies lunch. Dress is spring casual - no need to worry to be too smart, but for those who want to change after the walk, there is space to do so.
A two course lunch with a glass of wine will be served in a private room inside this prestigious rowing Club at 1pm. Please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. After lunch, if the sun is shining, we can go back out on to the decking to enjoy the view and some more drinks for those that want to (not included!).
The cost for the day is £75. The proceeds will go to Home-Start Wokingham, which provides life changing support to disadvantaged mums struggling to cope, helping them give their little ones a better start in life. I started off volunteering for Home-Start 8 years ago, visiting families in their homes, and I've worked for them for the last 3, so I know only too well what a difference their work makes to the lives of young families.
I'm so grateful to you for supporting this worthwhile cause and can't wait to see you at Leander. Please let me know whether you are coming for the walk or just the lunch.
