Simon Cope and Matt Price will be running the Longmynd hike again this year (We've only just recovered from last years!) , on 7th October on behalf of DENSO Manufacturing UK Ltd, in aid of The Albrighton Trust.
The Albrighton Trust offers educational and recreational activities for people disadvantaged by disability, special needs or illness, who are welcomed and supported whatever their capability. They have a proven track record of supporting the most hard to reach in society, providing positive outdoor activities and offering opportunities to enhance or change lives.
We will be aiming to complete a 50 mile route, The route follows a set figure-of-eight route over the rugged countryside of South Shropshire and the Welsh Marches, with over 8,500 feet of climbing covering eight summits and passing through 17 checkpoints.
The time limit is 24hrs but we will be aiming to run as much of the route as possible, completing it in around 16hrs.
