We have created the first of our public art Cat Walk mosaics with the hep of our community workshops and now we want to extend the Walk down our high street. Help us to create the second and third of the series of vibrant mosaics based on the cat designs of Louis Wain (1860-1939) a Brent resident and prolific cat illustrator. Our "Cat Walk" mosaic will extend into various areas in and around Willesden Green, to celebrate the life and work of this artist as well as "art-walk" around our neighbourhood, bringing colour, character and culture to our streets and lives. Louis, our first cat, is installed on the bridge opposite Willesden Green Tube Station on 15/11/14 (12.00) and was made by over 30 members of the local Willesden Green community. We think you will agree he is stunning. Help us raise more money to create MORE MOSAICS for Willesden Green, for the Willesden Green Cat Walk Mosaic. Our second cat is in progress with more community workshops planned. The first where schoolchildren participated have already been installed in the mosaic. Eartha, as she is named, will be installed nearby Sainsbury's on a wall space donated by a local business. We need another £2000 to fund the next series of workshops. Please donate to help us create more cats!
