On 27th January 2024 I will be stood on the start line of the Arc 50, my longest and most demanding race to date. It covers 50 miles of the SW Coast path and it is going to push me to the limit. It will be in winter conditions, a good proportion run in the dark and the terrain will be brutal. I have been training hard and I am looking forward to taking on the challenge.
As a lot of you know my youngest daughter, Neve, has Nystagmus, which is known as dancing eyes. She is registered as visually impaired. We as a family have been supported by Moorvision, a local Devon charity, who provide activities and shared experiences in Devon for families of children and young people (aged 0-25) with vision impairments. Many of the children this charity supports have a wide range of vision impairments and many with additional needs. They also offer information, advice, support and advocacy on education, healthcare, sport, benefits, social and leisure opportunities. We would like to try and raise some money for this local charity and help them continue their vital work. It would be great to give back to a charity that has helped our family so much.
